Åre is situated in the middle of Sweden. Nearest airport is Åre/Östersund airport (45 min).

Sometimes you get a better deal flying to Vaernes airport in Trondheim, Norway (1 h 45 min), so make sure to check both options. Both airports have rental car agencies. It is recommended to pre-book your car.

If you fly to Åre/Östersund the easiest way to get to Åre is to book a flight transfer in connection to your plane ticket.

If you fly to Trondheim the train Mittnabotåget has two departures a day to Åre and vice versa.

An other option is to fly to Stockholm Arlanda and then catch a night- or day train to Åre (7-8 hrs).
